Deplete calcium levels

By Steve Marmor

Sodas, diet sodas, sport beverages, carbonated energy drinks, Vitamin Water, Gatorade and the like contain phosphoric acid, which can severely deplete blood calcium levels. Calcium is a key component of the bones. This means that drinking carbonated beverages increases your risk of osteoporosis.

Also, refined sugars, compromised intestinal function and lack of mineral absorption all contribute to thinning of the bones.

Remember, you can never take enough calcium (especially hard to breakdown and assimilate tableted form), to compensate for a consistently and highly acidic blood chemistry. Your body will always attempt to buffer or neutralize the excess acidity by drawing or leaching alkaline minerals from your bones and other alkaline storage repositories.

Balance the Ph of your blood chemistry and find out what the best supplement sources are for doing so at Herbs & More in Encinitas, Ca. 760 753-7272.
